- Attitude Assessment Instruments are used to assess students' attitudes towards individuals with disabilities.
- These instruments can include tests, drawings, observations, or sociometric techniques
- Issues with these techniques are how to conduct these evaluations without excluding or drawing attention to the student(s) with disabilities? Also, there is no guarantee that students will tell the truth/act how they say they would in a certain situation, etc.
- The bridge system stresses that students understand and use different dialects in different situations. Also referred to code-switching, bi-dialectical students can utilize standard English when necessary and still maintain their own home dialect.
- Creating a friendly classroom environment is essential in an inclusive classroom so that students of all abilities will form relationships. Teachers can use cooperative grouping for academic and recreational activities to promote a friendly environment. Also, crafts and projects that the class as a whole can claim ownership to promotes a feeling of family and belonging in the classroom.
